Don't Wait to Order a Mystery This Holiday Season
Listen up everybody, because we really mean it this year: if you are planning to buy a Mail Order Mystery as a holiday gift, please do not wait.
So here’s the thing. We don’t know what is going to happen, but we can imagine some scenarios. One is that this is going to be a totally normal holiday season, but we kind of doubt that.
We can also imagine possibilities like these:
DELAYS: The postal system in many countries continues to be overwhelmed as more people shop online. And this holiday season we expect Black Friday and holiday sales to swamp parcel delivery like never before. Despite all of our best laid plans, waiting to order anything online could result in disappointment. We do not want either of us to be in a position where your holiday gift arrives late because deliveries can’t keep up.
WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP UP: In previous years we have had to temporarily sell out of some of our mysteries because we could not keep up with demand. Mail Order Mysteries are personalized and assembled with care and we need some time to prepare them. If everyone waits until the last minute we may have to stop taking orders until we can catch up.
WE COULD SHUT DOWN AGAIN: We were shut down for two months in the spring as a non-essential business and it is possible that we could be shut down again. Cases are on the rise here, and while schools and businesses remain open for now, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to stay open through December.
EVERYTHING COULD SHUT DOWN AGAIN: You may be thinking that you always have a plan B, right? You can just run out to the mall and grab some toys the week before Christmas? Maybe. Or maybe not.
