Looking for a Great Gift to Tie in with Your Mail Order Mystery?

Mail Order Mysteries are great gifts for those of you who don’t want to buy kids a lot of stuff, especially if you are the one tripping on that stuff. Mail Order Mysteries are low-impact on shelf-space and high impact on kids’ imaginations.

But the stakes are high on Christmas morning and you may be looking for a bit more stuff to wrap up and put under the tree.

If you are buying a Mail Order Mystery and you are looking for a gift that ties in to the mystery you have chosen, we have lots of great stuff at the Mystery Emporium. It's our online store full of cool gifts related to our mysteries. We've got Bigfoot t-shirts, spy school notebooks, dragon canvas art prints, pirate wall clocks and so much more. Some of this stuff might make for better mementos at the end of a mystery, though, so if you are looking for more mysterious, theme-related gifts here are some ideas:

Treasure Hunt is all about pirates, hidden treasure and sharks. Kids discover that their long-lost family treasure is buried somewhere on a faraway island (a real faraway island!) so you can’t go wrong with an atlas, a globe, a book about pirate lore or shark facts. Or maybe a shovel?

The Enchanted Slumber is fairy-tale themed with some real history about Templar Knights. There is plenty of opportunity to tie in medieval history, castles, princesses and knights. The dragon in the story plays chess. The troll falls in love with books. There are strong messages about friendship and environmental stewardship with recurring motifs of hearts and bees.

All Mail Order Mysteries have ciphers and codes, but Spies, Lies and Serious Bad Guys has the most ciphers and codes. If your kid is into cracking codes there are plenty of great books out there. Spy gear is always an option, and the evil villain’s trail leads to a Scrabble tournament. A Scrabble game could be a very mysterious way to begin a top secret mission to save the world from the end of all fun.

The Case of the Missing Bigfoot is a classic whodunnit set in an old mansion. The suspects belong to a secret society of cryptozoologists - so anything to do with cryptozoology (the study of hidden animals) would make a great gift tie-in. There is no end to awesome stuff related to Bigfoot, Yeti, the Loch Ness Monster and so on. You also can’t go wrong with gifts having to do with crime scene investigation or detective work. A classic Clue game would be perfect.

And just a reminder: we ship every Thursday and December 19 and December 26 are the last holiday ship dates still available! So order soon!
