COVID-19 Shipping Update

With school being cancelled in some cities and recommendations to practice social distancing, many of us face weeks of being cooped up with our children. Mail Order Mysteries could be a great way to keep kids entertained, and to bring some adventure and excitement into your home at a time when everyone could use a bit of fun.

But with the world in crisis, we don’t know what’s going to happen in the next 24 hours, let alone the next six weeks. So we are concerned about sending out weekly letters and having the clues arrive out of order if there is a mail disruption. Or kids being stuck in the middle of a mystery if an installment is delayed.

So for now, we are temporarily limiting our choice of delivery options to “All in One Box”. That means we will send all six installments packed together, in one box, with tracking information and you can hand the installments out at whatever pace you choose. You can even sneak the letters into the mailbox so kids can find the letters themselves.

“Send Weekly” will be temporarily unavailable as a shipping method. Letter mail is a beautiful thing, and we know how much kids love getting mail, but a letter has to travel a long way, through a lot of different centres, to get to its destination. We cannot make any guarantees about your letters getting to you in order, and on time. 

If you’ve ordered a mystery in the past few days and would like to change from “Send Weekly” to “All in One Box” before your first installment is shipped out next week, just contact us.

So for now, we are operating business as usual and we will do everything we can to get your Mail Order Mysteries to you. We are a small business and we are doing the best we can. Things are changing fast, so thank you for your patience as we figure this stuff out.
