Found: Awesome kids to solve spy mystery

You know that expression “There’s a light at the end of the tunnel - and it’s a train”? That’s how we felt in November when we launched our new mystery,
Spies, Lies and Serious Bad Guys. We got slammed with orders all through the holiday season. We’re finally picking ourselves up, dusting ourselves off and getting around to some of the things on our to-do list, like posting a detailed product description on our website. If you have been waiting to find out more about what exactly comes in the spy mystery, you can click here.

Spies is our most challenging mystery yet. Although kids (and some adults) occasionally get stumped on a clue (our team of secret agents are always standing by to help) the feedback from you is great. Our newest junior agents are loving the ciphers, the clues, the top secret missions and the gadgets - the cipher disk, the invisible UV pen, the magnifying card, the top secret safe, the personalized spy ID cards, the spy handbook and more.

And you know what makes us happy? The Spy Questionnaires that your kids mail back to us here at the top secret spy school. Among other things, we ask them what their secret agent name would be (so we can print it on their personalized spy ID card in the final installment, sneaky huh?), what their favorite joke is and why they would be a good spy.

Here are some of our favorite answers.

What is your secret agent name?

Agent Crazy Cupcake
Agent Paper Crane
Agent Puppy Lover
Agent Ursa Major
Agent Raging Sea Cucumber
Agent Sparkle Girl
Agent Kumquat
Agent Bread Board

Bread Board? Seriously? Does it get any better than that?

The kid jokes are a riot and we can’t get enough of them. Here are some classics:

What kind of socks does a pirate wear? Arrrgyle.

Why did the chicken cross the road two times? Because he’s a double crosser.

How do you make a Kleenex dance? Put a little boogie in it.

What’s brown and sticky? A stick!

Hardy har! The best part, though, is finding out why these kids think they are going to be great spies.

Here are some of their awesome answers:

Because I am smart and confident.
Because I am small and sneaky.
Because I am stealthy.
Because I am adventurous.
Because I am good at mechanics.
Because I have determination and grit.
Because I can keep secrets and I am willing to work.
Because I notice things before other people do.
Because I am strong.
Because I am fast.
Because I would never turn against you or let you down.
Because I am patient and kind.
Because I am good at math.
Because I am good at making stuff.
Because I have a dog to help me.
Because I am awesome.
Because I am awesome.
Because I am awesome.

If anyone is going to get out there and save the world one day, it’s these kids. As the saying goes, kids are our future. And we believe we are in good hands.
